One of my sons serves in the military. He is still stateside, here in California . He called me yesterday to let me know how warm and welcoming people were to him and his troops everywhere he goes, telling me how people shake their hands and to thank them for being willing to serve and fight for not only our own freedoms, but so that others may have them also.
But he also told me about an incident in the grocery store he stopped at yesterday on his way home from the base. He said that ahead of several people in front of him stood a woman dressed in a burkha.
He said when she got to the cashier she loudly remarked about the U.S.flag lapel pin the cashier wore on her smock. The cashier reached up and touched the pin, and said proudly, 'Yes, I always wear it and probably always will.'

Goals: Be a positive force in this world; whether by helping people cope with the mental struggle of life or making them laugh. I wish I could be a stand up comedian, I’d say that’s my real dream. I think it would be great to have people like you because you make them laugh. That’s an accomplishment to me. Laughing is the most natural anti-depressant there is. But since I don’t know how to write joke or how to deliver them I have a realistic goal of getting most likely my Ph.D. but definitely at least a Masters in Psychology. At this point I want to be a psychotherapist or maybe even a professor at a local college
